Daniel, this is Koala.

Ever the strong and silent one, aren't you? Why? Don't you have anything you would like to say?

You hold secrets even to this day, Daniel. We do not know what you may yet have in store, but I am confident that you are withholding that information to keep it away from the enemy Amphibians. Could it be you also find the Ipsos to be less than desirable? That would be understandable, though I would hope you will not hold a grudge against them. Right now we need them more than we can afford to be mad at them.

You have been an interesting friend, Daniel. I hope to have many more opportunities to study and be puzzled by you.

Your friend, Koala.

Zachary, this is Koala.

Zachary! You are better than that. Throw away the feelings of doom and gloom. As long as we live, there is always hope.

Do not despair. Everything that has happened would have anyway even if you were not there. The Ipsos would have eventually awakened. The Amphibians would have eventually found Mars and, from it, Earth. You did not cause any of this to happen.

We, the MARSupials, have been with you all the way. We have guided and advised you. We have suggested courses of action. We hold at least as much responsibility for what will be as any of you could. We do not blame you and we expect you not to blame yourself either. Is that clear?

By taking the vehicle, haven't you left Enoch alone with Spur? We know Spur can enter the water, but Enoch cannot. It is not right for you to abandon your friend like that. Please go back to ensure his safety.

I have been thinking about The One and what it might be able to do too. I hope that massive collective and super cooled intelligence has an answer for us. Only time will tell.

Please promise me now you will stop giving up. We have not and you should not either.

Gail, this is Koala.

I can't read the glyphs either, but I get an impression from them that suggests hope. Look at the lower section. There is a vertical bar; to the right a sequence of symbols that diminishes to a single one; to the right another vertical bar; and to the right two circle, one above the other.

I see that as a fleet of Amphibian ships surrounded by the greater force of the combined Ispo and Probe armies. The final item (the two circles) could be the Earth and the Moon. If so, the image suggests you and the Ipsos will be the guardians of the Earth and not the bringers of its destruction as some of you believe.

The glyphs may well be a prophecy, just not the one the Amphibians think it is.

I asked Enoch to talk to Theresa about her idea. I forgot she is with you, not him. So would you please ask her about it. Maybe there is a start of a good strategy in her thoughts. Give it a try.

Enoch, this is Koala.

Do not despair. As Thixel said, anything can happen. And with friends like you on the scene, I anticipate great things will.

Please promise me this: You will never again think about deactivating yourself. You are far too valuable a friend that any of us would ever want you to do something like that. No matter what, we don't want that. Do you understand?

> No dummy scrap stops the designated Patriarch of Zonc,
> however "sentient" they may be.

The Patriarch has too high an opinion of himself if you ask me. He needs to be shown he is not as clever and cunning as he believes. Do not do anything rash. Wait for your opportunity and then take action to deprive him of his ability to communicate with the other Amphibians. You are right when you say, "If he falls, all of them will fall. All of them at once."

The scorn for you he openly displays will be his ruination. The more he thinks of you as "scrap" and "machines" the less he thinks to be on guard against you. Bide your time for a little while and he will make a slip that will give you the opportunity you need. He will create his own downfall.

Please ask Theresa about her idea. What other planet would she suggest the Amphibians use? Where is it? What about the life that is on it? There are so many things to consider but that does not make the base idea a bad one. There could be the start of something great.

Andrew, this is Koala.

Believe it or not, your angry response is very much the same as is typical of a human. You could say your humanity was displaying itself, although I prefer it when your humanity manifests itself in your good and strong qualities as is usually the case.

Your evaluation of the Ipso vs. Amphibian sides is logical and I agree. There is an Earth expression that may apply, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." That means the Ipsos are your friends because they are enemies of your enemies, the Amphibians. Of course, they are also your friends because of the status with which they have recognized you, but that is another matter altogether.

Until you are on Mars again, your role will have to be one of facilitator and agitator. You need to be the guide and source of advice that Enoch and the others require. You also need to incite the Endless Emperor into taking action that will help to contain the Amphibians and save the Earth.

You can do it. You can lead even from so far away.

Bette, this is Koala.

I knew the Endless Emperor would not understand the Star Wars Trilogy was a work of fiction. I had a hunch he would like Jaba the Hut because of the general similarities in their body composition (although Jaba does not change colors). I find it very amuzing that he wants to meet Jaba.

You did very well with the Emperor. You should be proud of yourself.

Keep up the fine work. Your friend, Koala
