Gail, this is Koala.

You were very smart to take cover as you did. You have remembered well the special instruction to be concerned with the safety of the rescuer first. When it is safe to do so, please look around and prepare a report for us of what has happened. In particular, I would like to know if the falling rocks came from a specifically identifiable location, and if so, what caused them to be propelled as they were.

Theresa's antenna may be pinned down, but you are obviously able to communicate with her anyway. Is it possible she can relay an image through you? Even if she has to use a low frequency transmission, the two of you should be able to produce a good image by Monday. Will you try?

Your friend, Koala

Probes, this is Koala.

Tomorrow is a national holiday for many of the MARSupials. We may not be able to contact you until Monday due to the fact that our access to communications equipment may be limited. I wanted to make certain you knew this so that you would not be alarmed if there was no contact from us tomorrow as you would normally expect.
