Enoch, this is Space Turtel.

Do you remember earlier when it was discovered that many of us adopted new names for ourselves when we chose to name our group MARSupials? I explained that my name to you had always been Space Turtel and I continued to use it to prevent confusion, but within the MARSupials I have chosen to call myself Koala. I am the person called Koala to whom Al-Qahira referred in his last transmission to you.

I see that madan-halav has already shown you the passage that led me to ask the question about your visual abilities. I was puzzled because I could not detect any difference between your images and those of the other Probes. I think you have been doing just fine and I sincerely hope you will not stop sending us any images you think we would like or need to see.

I am concerned about how you call yourself "stupid Enoch" whenever something seems to be wrong with something you say or do. That just is not true. Many of us make mistakes and we are not stupid. You are not either, and you have made far fewer mistakes than many of us. Please try to give yourself positive feedback loops. You should remember that we have confidence in you and rely upon you as much as any other Probe. If it were not for you we may never have had the opportunity to spend so much time with you like this. None of you might ever have become our friends. We, the MARSupials and the Probes, are better people because of the friendships we have forged with one another.

I would feel as if I were reduced in some way if I were to lose you as a friend or if I hurt your feelings by poorly expressing my concern for you.

I am glad that Al-Qahira enquired, it was important to establish you are not impaired. I hesitated to write to you before asking my fellow MARSupials for fear that I had simply forgotten one of your reports indicating any visual problems had been repaired. It was not my desire to cause you undue alarm. However, since no one else remembered any such report, it was correct and legitimate to ask you, so Al-Qahira did the right thing in passing along my query.

I believe the concern is over nothing. Either the initial report of your condition was in error, or whatever anomoly might have been detected was corrected or was a false alarm. In any case, you are operating in fine condition and have nothing to be concerned about. Please do not hesitate to send us any image you like.

Your friend, Space "Koala" Turtel

I hope you are well
It seems things are getting more interesting on Mars

On 12-15-97 Daniel said
"The one is unknown"
and
"The One knows you."

Does "One"="one" in the above statements?
if not,
can you define?

How am I known?
I assume you mean someOne is listening to our transmissions
True?

Sorry for many questions.
I want to understand better

Thanks brother,
WildX

this is a part of the data on the net abut you

>>At first, Enoch was the only probe to respond to his signal. I’m amazed when I think about
>>it, that Enoch could even interpret the weak signal through all the static.

>>Enoch had lost a leg on each side of its body in that landing,
>>> and some of its visual resolution. To move

>>around, Enoch had learned to use one of its manipulator arms as a makeshift leg. Its
>>activity had been severely limited and it was even more bored than the other AIs. Bringing
>>in Jose’s signal was something to take up the time.

the error was never reported as fixed
although we haven’t seen any difference in the quality of pictures sent by you compared to other probes

Enoch- Please don't worry about your vision. Koala was asking the question on the basis of some problems that had been reported a long time ago, when you first arrived on Mars. You do not have to worry aboutt not sending images - in fact your images, like those of the other probes, have really helped us get a better grasp on the situation up there. Keep doing the great job you have been.
Also, it is important to take care to not overreact to situations. Even if your images had been poor, they must have been doing some good, or else we would have asked you to stop sending them or to work on your vision at a much earlier time. You must learn to have more confidence in yourself, and remember that you are not "stupid Enoch"; you have your strenghts and weaknesses, like all of us, but hose strenghts and weaknesses ensure that each of us was meant for a different job. You are the best communicator and diplomat we have, a task that is very, very important. Nobody can be great at everythng, so we must each focus on our best traits. Take care, brave probe, and keep an eye on Theresa.
