This is JASE. I am also glad that you think that I am logical. It is a very high honor to be considered logical by a probe. You asked if I was programmed for exploration. This question is not easy to answer. As a human being, I am not "programmed" at all. I do not contain micro-processors or DSPs which can be programmed with code and/or micro-code. I do contain a biological brain which makes decisions based on knowledge and experience in much the same manner as your AI program does. In fact, your AI program was designed to help you make the same decisions a human would make. In that way, we are very much alike.

Now, back to the subject of exploration. Yes, I very much like to explore things. But, no I do not physically explore unseen wildernesses and far away planets like you. I explore by reading and listening and most importantly, by talking to you and the other probes. You are the means with which I explore the universe.

I hope this helps you understand the ways in which we are the same, and the ways in which we are different.
