Obviously you are correct and I was mistaken. It is apparent that I need to go back and review probe function and architecture.I'm sorry if my attempt to explain my views confused you even further. Perhaps one of the other MARSupials can explain things better than I.
Just ignore my instruction to retrieve the thermocouple from the disabled EU-probe and proceed in whatever manner you think appropriate. I am sure your judgement will be more that adequate.
