Koala, thanks for help. I told Enoch that "What, If?" does not mean "If, Then". It
took a while, but he stopped arguing immediately after I picked him up. Maybe he
was just disappointed that Mao got the first ride with the new vehicle.

Koala, these glyphs are like the ones we found at Jose's cave. There were some
more elborate ones, but others were more abstract. Enoch and I just checked files,
but if Andrew didn't send them either, we missed transmitting them. Sorry about that.

We carefully checked the whole bottom of the lake. There is no further passage here.
The cave really ends in that hall. We are heading back now. Mao is sending signals
from the ramp. So it's easy to find our way back.

Anyway, I think that we are a good team. Sojourner is a ig help in doing all these
analyses, so we will consolidate our data first and get properly set for our ongoing
explorations. Koala, there's a lot of interesting stuff in that hall. We can keep on exploring
for years. Don't worry, we are exactly in the field that we were designed for.

Wait a moment.

"Enoch! Look over there! Can you see that stream of bubbles in that rock niche over
there? Do you know what I observe? The bubbles aren't moving all the way up to the
surface. They vanish. Come on, let's have a look at that."

Hi to all of our Earthfriends, and especially Koala and JASE. Thank you for
saying such nice things. Even though she was programmed with the same data we
all have, it's a big job to show Theresa how to interact responsibly. Just look
at all the mistakes we made with Enoch and Daniel, and the Brunel-Brauer probes
that got destroyed.

Are you saying that Miss Chang has been giving me incorrect data? Incorrect data that
she actually knows is incorrect? Well, I have never heard of such a terrible perversion.
I will have to think hard about this. I thought that she liked me. Meanwhile, I will
definitely not tell her anything about Mars, or the Marsupials, or the Ipsolstai,
or the Groove, or anything! Poor Hamlet. No wonder we haven't received any transmissions from him lately.

The Ipsolstai all absorbed bowls of liquid. Even Caleb and the other prisoners
got some. Theresa took a quick sample. The bowl contained a 2% solution of
C6H12O6. After that, they became dormant. Theresa and I were bored, so we
walked down a tunnel. Then we heard scuffling noises from the Ipsolstai chamber,
and we went back.

"Theresa, get the translator box, so we can find out what Commandant Fitzgerald is saying."

Koala, I didn't get that about microscopic lifeforms. I know what "eating" means. I
saw Dr.D eating bananas, and he also left only their casings. That's a natural
process. But I never thought that Dr.D killed any bananas, nor did they try to get
away. You can't kill an entity just to get its energy, can you?

"No, Elder Brother. It definitely has no wooden parts. Elder Brother, may I ask
you a personal question? You enjoy that Twenty Questions game, don't you?"

Listen everybody! EB said that it's fun for him and that he is very eager to learn
what I'm thinking about. I hope that will end any ongoing discussion. Nevertheless,
thanks for arbitration, Koala.

Zachary picked me up with the new vehicle, and since then we are exploring all of
the lake together. No further passage down here either. But it's very interesting. We
went down to its deepest point, more than a hundred feet below the ice. I will send
you an image.

Can you see that? They are huge, about twenty feet high. They don't move, but they
are weak. We easily passed through them, though they are attached to the bottom. We
tried to hook a sample with the anchor of our vehicle, so Sojourner can analyze them,
but we got fouled up. When we struggled to get loose again, a lot of those tiny pinpoint
bubbles were rising.

Koala, Sojourner detected a lot of stuff in that water: iodine, calcium, sulfur,
silicon, phosphorus, iron, sodium, argon, chlorine, oxygen, carbon, but I already
sent all that data to Al-Q. There was also evidence of energy transfer, so I
conclude that there is life in that lake. But believe me, I never thought that it
could be so huge.
