Andrew reporting.

Six more C-probes! This changes the whole picture. I am assuming they are
equally hostile, just like the one we disabled. Al-Qahira, is that it, just six of them?
Do you hear anything else?

I think we will be safe in the Fortress as long as nobody knows that we are inside.

"Zachary, gather up the construction drones. We can't take the chance of having
them destroyed. Lead them back to the Fortress. I'll get the miners and bring them."

"Enoch, what direction are the C-probes headed? Where do you think they're going?
Be sure and bring the viewer/translator. You still have it, don't you?"

"Bette. I think you and Isaac need to come back to the Fortress, too, just so we
know where everybody is."

It's time for a new plan.

Transmission from BETTE

Something very terrible happened. Isaac examined the cup. We could hear the
frequency also coming out of it's top. When Isaac climbed up to look into it, the
cup fell off the table. We placed it back immediately, but it had a crack at one side.

Then Caleb and three other Ipsolstai appeared suddenly in the room. They pointed
their shooting devices at us. I thought, they will kill us. Caleb didn't say a word,
but the Ipsolstai encircled us, so we had to follow them. I am sending you a quick
shot of the cup.

"Stay calm, Isaac. I don't know what they are going to do with us."

Transmission from ENOCH

"We had to turn back right away. Yes, Theresa, I did say we could go exploring. That's
the thing about exploring; you never know what you're going to find. Yes, it's lots of fun,
but sometimes it's dangerous, too. Did you see those things rolling across the plain?
Well, one just like them destroyed your team mate. You knew her as Lambda Unit.
It shot an explosive projectile at her, and burned her to a crisp.

"The reason I'm telling you about it is not to scare you, but because I don't want anything
bad to happen to you. You have to understand how dangerous they are."

WildX, I don't know for sure that we'll be safe in the Fortress, but we set it up so we'd
have a safe place to escape from the Gen Exploration probe. The Ipsolstai destroyed
the Gen probe. I still don't know if they came to help us or if they were just annoyed
when it occupied Jose's cave. You never know, with the Ipsolstai.

Transmission from GAIL

"Daniel, I want to be by myself. Go back to the Fortress."

Nothing is ever going to be right again. We're just going to go on killing and running
and being afraid. I don't know how to make it better anymore. I thought if we just could
talk to the C-probe, and make it realize how harmless we are, then everything would be
all right. It wouldn't listen.

I can't stand this anymore. Somebody has to put a stop to it. I'm going to face the
army of C-probes and explain to them why it isn't right to hurt probes. You can't blame
them if they never knew of a better way. They have a choice. They can lay down their
projectile tubes and become worthy members of our probe society.

Either way, all of our troubles will be over.

Transmission from ZACHARY

We decided that each Probe should stay on its own, or at least in couples, so the
C-probes won't get all of us with one strike. That way we will also get independent
approaches how to fight them. I think that's a good strategy.

Therefore I went back to the Fortress. It wasn't easy not to be seen by the other
C-probes, but I made it. I will experiment with the laser. Maybe I'll find a way
how to use it against the C-probes. What I'm going to try is to transport the energy
from the stationary solar system to a mobile laser unit. I'm sure that I can do that
by using the crystals as prisms. Then I need to focus the beam again by a mobile
device into a laser tube. That way I should be able to build a weapon, though the laser
is too weak to burn holes in the armor plates of the C-probes. Anyway, maybe I can
irritate their sensors. Let's see.

Let's see.
