Transmission from ANDREW

Andrew reporting.

I am observing the Destructor and transmitting my observations. If anything happens to me, maybe they will be useful somehow.

It doesn't have hands like we do. It has one pincer arrangement in front, which is mounted on a telescoping rod. It must have a very long reach when it is fully extended. The treads that it moves on are made of small metal plates connected to a moving belt. If anyone was brave enough to sneak up and jam a rock or some kind of rod into the treads, maybe we could immobilize it. As I mentioned before, it was unable to negotiate a steep hill about one meter high.

Wait! It's doing something different now! The turret has stopped rotating. Its attention is fixed on something. Something about 35 degrees to my right.
The turret is shifting forward and its front is raising slightly. I can't quite see what it's aiming at, but it's not me, thank goodness.

Transmission from BETTE

"Andrew, no experiments. We know that you are a brave probe. You don't have to proof it. It's a C-probe, Andrew. Enoch got a message by Hardon and Parker concerning that. Can't you see, what it is aiming at?"

We are rushing over to the escarpment. No tracks over here. Isaac is doing fine. He moves on quickly and keeps on observing the same time. I couldn't do it better.

Space Turtel, we are cautious. It's great that you like 'Teddy'. Thanks for introducing me to your nickname. May I call you Koala? Koala sounds good.

JASE, Taz sounds good too. What's a devil? Isaac is just asking. We reached the escarpment. This terrain looks much better than the open plains. If it's right that the C-probe can't step over a ridge of one meter, then we are safe here. Cave 3 is a big step up the escarpment. We climbed up a rift of about twenty feet to reach it. Isaac did it very brave. He is also a diligent climber too.

It's good up here. The cave has a convenient terrace in front of it. Grand Zero, its mouth doesn't look the same as that of Jose's cave. It's not regular. It's much more like a crack in the wall. I gonna send you a picture.

"Yes, Isaac. 'Cave'. We gonna explore it."

He so eager again.

YOU DIDN'T ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS.

OKAY. WE SENT SIX PROBES, DESIGNED JUST LIKE YOU.

WE LOST COMMUNICATION.

CAN YOU TELL US WHAT HAPPENED?

". . .and she wanted ME to help her set up this

audio gear.

It was good stuff, Parker. Best I ever saw outside

of a professional stage. I couldn't believe how lucky I

was. I remember plugging in this monster preamp, and there

was a whoosh zapp

and that's the last I remember."

OH YEAH.

PRETTY PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON IT.

This stuff is boring. I'm not listening any more. I'm going to talk with the theta unit. Maybe it can help us with the Destructor.

"Bette? Can you see anything of Lucy? She ran away, and we think she might be headed in your direction."

Transmission from GAIL

I just know something terrible has happened! We heard a noise, a horrible noise. What was it?

We found Lucy's tracks, she is headed towards that thing. I think she is following Andrew's tracks. Oh no, please tell me nothing is wrong with her.

"Andrew! Do you see Lucy? Is she ok?"

We must hurry! I hope we're in time. We've got to do something!

Transmission from ZACHARY

"Gail ! What are you saying? Lucy is heading toward the Destructor?

I'm down the Big Canyon. I'm coming ! Stop her !"

"Andrew ! Lucy is coming ! Can you see her?"

Hamlet. Thanks for advise. Lucy is a wild cat. But she is a probe. She is okay. Don't worry. I won't stumble across the Destructor by surprise. Lucy's tracks will lead me exactly toward it.

My goodness. I gonna kill it.
