Oh, no! Has anyone heard anything at all from Andrew?

"Gail, please try and talk to him. If he answers anyone, it will be you."

I don't know what to think about those error messages. Andrew was hot, burning
up. "Increase coolant flow." But the ambient temperature is at least minus
12 degrees C. Why is he so hot?

"Major systems failure"? If his mass memory units go, that's the end of Andrew.
He could possibly be reprogrammed, but it wouldn't be the same Andrew we
know. I think we're about to lose him, if it isn't too late already.

Please, can't somebody help us?

"Iota Unit, Brunel-Brauer Mars Exploration Mission #1, Serial # BBMEM1-0005"

That's the only thing Isaac will tell me. Yes, I can talk to him now. It took a long
time, but I managed to adjust the spare radio to his frequency. He was shocked
when he first heard the carrier wave. A new probe gets really desperate with
no instructions or communication from his Earth handlers.

"Isaac, you and I have a lot of things to discuss. I'm Enoch, formerly Epsilon
Unit, of the previous Mars Exploration Mission. Welcome to Mars. The rest of
the team will be back as soon as they rescue our friend Andrew."

He is going to be rescued, isn't he?

I didn't know they'd get so excited about a simple question. We really didn't
know if the Groove was open, right, Bombardier?

"Caleb, I'm sorry. I was just asking. I didn't know it would cause so many
problems. I know you Ipsolstai get very upset even thinking about the
Amphibians. Please don't be mad at me."

"You have interest in Groove?
Groove technology is older than Ipsolstai, older than all.
For ages we watched in wonder.
Bold Ipsolstai explorers, the best of our people, dared the energy vortex
for knowlege and understanding.
Hope and expectations.
After many, one returned.

"To go and return, the stars were ours.
With time, exploration continued, routes were charted.
Ipsolstai glory extended over many worlds. Our insignia/map you have seen.
Until Amphibians.

"You have interest in Groove? Sincere?
Special situation now occuring."
